Scottsdale Restaurant, MIXT, Set to Re-Open Monday with Plans to Deliver 1,000 Meals to Local Hospital Workers
By Lisa Padilla - Friday Apr 17, 2020
Tired of the typical takeout? MIXT is officially bringing back its locally sourced farm-fresh salads, market plates, and sandwiches for takeaway, curbside pickup, and delivery at Scottsdale Quarter on Monday, April 20 and with its reopening brings a new community based initiative to give back to those fighting on the frontlines during the current global health crisis.

Introducing, First in Line--A program from MIXT to team up with guests to serve meals to healthcare workers by:

Providing guests the option while ordering their take home MIXT meal to pre-purchase a meal to be donated to a first responder. Guests will also have the option to donate to the hospital of their choice and score $5 off a future order.

Partnering with local health facilities to maximize the number of meals delivered. MIXT has donated meals to over 1,000 healthcare workers in California and hopes to exceed that goal in Arizona.

Delivering free, mood-boosting meals directly to healthcare workers, expelling lines and high-risk situations, because working on the frontlines should be first in line.

“It’s no secret that all restaurants have taken a hit during this time of uncertainty, but we still want to do our part to ensure everyone has easy access to healthy meals during a time where health and wellness is of utmost importance,” said MIXT CEO, Leslie Silverglide. “Our mission is to bring better eating to everyone, so it’s our job to step-up especially in this time of need.”

MIXT made an immediate splash with health-conscious audiences when it opened early last month, and it will continue to do so at a time when many can benefit from the energy clean eating provides, especially those working diligently to keep us all safe.

“By this point, it’s safe to say a lot of people are tired of traditional takeout and cooking at home,” said, Silverglide. “Many of us are comfort-eating, and even when we do have the best intentions, it’s not always easy to find your normal go-tos nowadays, but there’s tremendous value in nourishing your body and mind and boosting your immune system. It can not only make you feel healthier but also elevate your spirits which is something we can all really benefit from--especially now.”
