Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS), a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the community by providing behavioral health, healthcare, and social services to all ages, faiths, and backgrounds, is currently experiencing an urgent demand for food donations and volunteers.
The JFCS Just 3 Things food pantry serves youth transitioning out of the foster care system, clients who visit the integrated healthcare centers, and individuals who participate in programs across the Valley, including the elderly and those facing food insecurity.
The pantry needs non-perishable and non-expired foods, cleaning supplies, and personal care items, including soup, rice, pasta, canned fruit and veggies, soap and toiletries, deodorant, and diapers. You can donate to the pantry by making a monetary donation, purchasing items from the JFCS Just 3 Things Amazon Wish List, or ordering from your favorite grocery store and having it delivered to the JFCS Administrative Office. JFCS does not offer pick up services for donations.
In addition to donations for the JFCS Just 3 Things food pantry, JFCS is looking for volunteers. As a nonprofit, JFCS relies on its volunteers to help provide services and support to the community. Being a JFCS volunteer allows people to make a difference in the lives of others while participating in rewarding experiences. Volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to:
academic and life skills tutoring
administrative support and assistance with JFCS events
food drive coordination
