Not many people know what they want to do with the rest of their lives when they are only 12 years old, but Chantelle Barry knew she wanted to be an actress. Not only did the Australian born, Burmese-Italian star land on film reels, but she’s also a successful singer-songwriter and voice actress.
“My father was a musician so growing up my sisters and I just fell into music,” the 46-year-old actress says. “It seemed like an instinct to gravitate toward music.”
Growing up, her father stressed the importance of needing to learn different styles of music, what they were, where it comes from culturally, and how it differs from country to country. She describes him as instrumental in her professional development.
