First and foremost, competing in a pageant is exciting! You are about to do something that will shock and amaze your family and friends.
Second, preparing for competition is like weight lifting for the brain. You get mentally strong because you are forced to be disciplined, and do battle with negative thoughts and circumstances that have hindered your success. The Interview competition inspires you to pay attention to who you are, your strengths and weakness, your likes and dislikes, and the state of the world around you. The fitness competition requires you to take care of your body by exercising, eating healthy and getting plenty of rest. The Evening Gown competition…well, it’s just plain fun. It is an occasion to wear a beautiful dress and look like a movie star.
Third, performing community service inspires you to forget your troubles and make a difference in the lives of people that need your help. Your self-confidence will be through the roof. You will meet other successful, powerful women and become your best self by learning and honing the skills necessary to reach all of your other goals in life, whatever they may be.
You can do this! Proverbs 3:5-7.
