WW of Arizona Offering 43 Live Workshops, More than 150 Virtually; Health Protocols in Place

WW of Arizona (formerly Weight Watchers) is offering 43 live limited-space workshops in the Phoenix metro area and in Tucson and more than 150 online options.
Reservations are requiredwww.weightwatchersaz.com/reservations for the in-person, 60-minute workshops. Each studio has been reconfigured to allow for social distancing and facemasks are required, said WW of Arizona General Manager Deborah Wright. Reservations for virtual workshops can be made at http://www.wwaz.com/webinars.
“We’re strategically and cautiously ramping up the number of live workshops while we continue expanding opportunities for members to meet online,†Wright said. “We keep hearing about quarantine weight gain, which makes losing weight even more challenging for members and nonmembers already struggling.â€
Wright said all live workshops strictly adhere to health and safety protocols and direction from health officials.
Among the online choices are Mindful Awareness virtual workshops to assist members in addressing a healthier lifestyle. These sessions include short guided meditation.
Mandatory protocols require that members:
• Do not enter if they are not feeling well
• No eating or drinking in the studio
• Wear facemasks before entering studio door
• Do not remove shoes while in the studio
• Are limited to only two at one time at the check-in area and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Floors will be marked with lines for waiting.
• Wait for staff to sanitize the area before advancing toward the desk.
