36-Original Mile 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10 to be Auctioned off at Russo and Steele

Monterey Car Week is gearing up and Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions is proving it’s the place to be August 12-13. Lots are still available at the highly sought-after event for those looking to consign. Added to the lineup is a highly collectible, early production, 36 original mile example 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10 that shows in incredible, as new condition.

Favoring a need for speed over typical car comforts, the 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10 was the brainchild of Lee lacocca, Bob Lutz, Tom Gale and Carroll Shelby. Shelby debuted and drove this model as the 1991 Indy Pace Car. This first-generation Viper is the most photographed and media hyped car in history due to its massive appeal as a quintessential American sports car. All models of this car were built at the Mack Avenue Assembly Plant.

“This vehicle was made for the experienced driver whose focus was on the impressive speed capability of the vehicle, rather than the traditional comforts the every-day car owner looks for,” said Drew Alcazar, auction president and CEO. “This Viper is truly a collectable icon performance automobile.”

This 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10 is the first-year production model vin number 100 of 285 total. It has only 36 original miles on it and is brand new in condition in all respects. This most collectable Viper model has been owned from new and stored in a climate-controlled museum. It has a multitude of unique featured for a 1992 including an external antenna. This car was only produced in this classic red color, and it contains a center mount battery. This Viper is complete with all factory manual, soft top and side curtains.
