By Lisa Padilla - Tuesday Sep 22, 2020
A community leader, volunteer, breast cancer activist and marketer extraordinaire, Reba Mason-Mikutowicz, Founder, Reba’s Vision and Baskets of Hope will be honored for her commitment to community and serving others October 6, 2020.

“I am excited to honor Reba Mason-Mikutowicz as West Valley Women Networking Association’s 2020 Woman of the Year. Miss Reba is active in the community, lights the world up with her smile, and empowers those around her. Her vision has helped numerous women on similar journeys. I love she gains her inspiration and strength from her mother, Marla Sue Mason, who lived with breast cancer for 18 years before passing away in 2014. It was a pleasure serving on Arizona Broadway Theatre’s 2020 Broadway Ball Committee with Reba. “Lisa E. Platt, CEO and Chief Connection Officer, West Valley Women.

A Texas native, Reba was crowned Miss NTHRSA Rodeo Queen and Rodeo Queen for her High School. She was later named a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader and served in that capacity for 4 amazing seasons and traveled with the squad all over the world.

When Reba moved to the West Valley, she worked in the restaurant industry and became known as a Marketer Extraordinaire.

After her diagnosis, it was important to Reba to leave a legacy for her community. She collaborated with Banner Lakes Imaging Marketing Manager, Gina Sheets, and Reba's' Vision and Baskets of Hope were created. The organizations help women with breast cancer by providing Free 3d Mammograms to those with no insurance or if their insurance does not cover a 3d mammogram. The organizations also provide free wigs and other items to those they serve.

Reba resides in Avondale with her husband, Stephan G. Mikutowicz. Together, they enjoy spending time with their adult children and amazing grandchildren.
