Valleywise Health Continues Expansion of Community Health Center Network with New Location Opening in Mesa
By Nicole Lavella - Thursday Jan 20, 2022
To better serve the healthcare needs of East Valley patients, Valleywise Health is proud to open its doors to its newest community health clinic in Mesa on Monday, January 24. Valleywise Community Health Center – Mesa is located near S. Stapley Drive and Main Street and will replace the facility on Hibbert, allowing for a convenient transition for current patients.

The new 26,000-square-foot clinic offers an extensive line of services, including primary and pediatric care, OB/GYN, specialty diabetes care and integrated behavioral health. Onsite lab testing, ultrasounds and pharmacy services are all available at the new facility. The new center also houses a Family Resource Center (FRC), which provides guidance and resources to improve the health of families, whether that be a class on nutrition, parenting tips or receiving information on insurance options. The FRC is open to everyone in the community.

“Although we have had a presence in the East Valley for some time with our former Mesa clinic and behavioral health facility, we see this new community health center as a renewed opportunity to showcase the high quality, affordable care Valleywise Health has provided for decades, but in a facility that reflects that exemplary care,” says Barbara Harding, Senior Vice President, CEO FQHC Clinics at Valleywise Health.

Also connected to the new community health clinic is the Mesa Behavioral Health Specialty Clinic, supporting members with a SMI (Serious Mental Illness) designation. Longtime Valleywise Health partners District Medical Group will continue to provide the clinical staff for Mesa, with in-person and telehealth appointments available now. All COVID-19 guidelines are being followed for in-person visits.

“The opening of this Mesa location has a lot of significance as it marks the completion of our community health center expansion within our Care Reimagined initiative,” says Steve Purves, President and CEO of Valleywise Health. “We don't just see these as facilities, but anchors within the community to ensure care is available to all. We are thankful to the voters of Maricopa County for their trust as we live out this mission.”

Valleywise Community Health Center – Mesa is located at 950 E. Main St., Mesa AZ 85203. For more information or to book an appointment, visit http://www.valleywisehealth.org/locations.
