On Saturday, Nov. 6, thousands of gamers from around the world will log on, all in the hopes of raising money for Phoenix Children’s, their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, in honor of Extra Life Day.

Streamers raising money for non-profits is not new, but it is becoming an increasingly popular occurrence amid the pandemic as more and more people tune into their favorite gamers to watch them play online.

For Extra Life Day gamers sign up online at extra-life.org and pledge to play any type of game at a specific time online on Saturday or any day after. People are even encouraged to create teams. While they are playing, viewers can send in donations to help them raise funds.
