Third Annual Rob Dollar Ride Goes Virtual on Oct. 25
By Christina Caldwell - Thursday Sep 03, 2020
The third annual Rob Dollar Ride, presented by the Rob Dollar Foundation, will go virtual in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic on Sunday, October 25. Cyclists in the Valley and across the world will have the chance to push themselves and participate with family and friends from any location, as well as win great prizes and raise funds for the Rob Dollar Foundation, whose mission it is to raise awareness of road safety in the cyclist and driver communities.

“As much as this event warms our hearts each year when held at our usual South Mountain location, we are taking the proper precautions to make sure all cyclists stay safe in 2020,” said John Dollar, President of the Rob Dollar Foundation. “We encourage cyclists of all abilities to jump on their bikes, stay socially distanced and help us spread awareness and raise funds to increase road safety in the Valley.”

The Rob Dollar Ride, Arizona’s largest memorial bike ride, honors the life of Rob Dollar, the energetic, fun-loving and charismatic man who tragically lost his life on a Sunday ride when he was hit and killed by a motorist. To honor his wishes and legacy, Rob’s father, John Dollar, and best friend, John Hogen, began the Rob Dollar Foundation and created its largest annual fundraiser, the Rob Dollar Ride. About Rob Dollar Foundation
The Rob Dollar Foundation is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) that was created by family and friends of Rob Dollar, who tragically lost his life on October 29, 2017. While out on a Sunday ride, he was hit and killed by a motorist. Even though the foundation was created by his family and friends, this was a dream Rob shared with his father and few close friends. Following his untimely death, it was only right to create the Rob Dollar Foundation to help the community Rob cared so deeply for.
