Tempe Marketplace to Welcome Three New Tenants
By Christina Caldwell - Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Although COVID-19 has had profound effects on many retail properties nationwide, Tempe Marketplace continues to expand. The center will debut three new tenants – Sephora, Fox in a Box Escape Room and NUTRISHOP – as part of its evolving shopping, dining and entertainment mix.

Sephora, the popular destination to discover the latest and greatest in all things beauty, will feature aisles of carefully curated trendsetting and best-selling makeup, skincare, fragrance and nail care products. The beauty retailer will open at Tempe Marketplace early next year and will be located in The District near Bath & Body Works and Forever 21.

For those who need an escape, Fox in a Box Escape Room is anticipated to open this fall. Ranked as the country’s #1 escape room, Fox in a Box brings entertainment to the next level. Guests can be immersed into a prison playing “Life Sentence,” escaping from the “Zodiac Killer,” saving the world from a nuclear war in the “Bunker” or robbing a bank in “Mastermind.” It will be located in the east side of The District near Harkins Theatres and Buckle.

Other recent additions to Tempe Marketplace include TaylorMade Phades, a multicultural barber shop that specializes in the wholistic hair care of men, women and children, which opened in May, and nutritional supplement retailer NUTRISHOP, which will open in August. Tempe Marketplace also recently welcomed Creations Boutique, a Tucson-based pop-up women’s clothing retailer specializing in fashion-forward and bohemian-inspired looks for women.

“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Tempe Marketplace continues to grow and evolve. Prospective tenants are taking notice, and expanding brands are selecting the center as the perfect spot for their next location.” said Taylor Alvey, vice president of leasing at Vestar, Tempe Marketplace’s parent company.
