SUN HEALTH HOSTS 6TH ANNUAL ART OF RESILIENCE FEATURING JASON SCHECHTERLE
By Lindsay Hansen - Thursday Mar 02, 2023
An inspiring conversation on resiliency with Barbara Mason, Sun Health VP of Home and Community Based Services, and keynote speaker Jason Schechterle, a former Phoenix police officer who knows firsthand the importance of resiliency.

Open to members of the community who are looking to build their own resiliency to life’s challenges.

Wednesday, May 3, 2023, registration at 8:15 a.m. with the program starting at 9 a.m. at Grandview Terrace Ballroom, 14515 W. Granite Valley Dr., Sun City West

Join Sun Health for The Art of Resilience. In its sixth year, this event will help participants understand what resiliency is and provide information and resources on building their own resiliency. Sun Health’s vice president of home and community-based services, Barbara Mason, will kick off the morning discussing the ‘Roadmap to Resilience.’

At 9:50 a.m., keynote speaker Jason Schechterle will take the mic to share his story and how resiliency helped him survive and overcome in a life-changing experience.

“Sometimes the most beautiful, inspirational changes will disguise themselves as utter devastation. Be patient.” – Jason Schechterle

Schechterle was 14 months into what he hoped would be a lifelong career in law enforcement when tragedy struck. His cruiser was struck by a taxi traveling over 100 miles per hour, trapping him inside and resulting in burns to over 40 percent of his body. He uses his experience and recovery to encourage others in a story of life, rebirth and transformation.
