Spring Clean and Recycle Almost Anything at I-Recycle at Desert Ridge Marketplace
By Christina Caldwell - Thursday Feb 27, 2020
Spring cleaning? Don’t send your items to the landfill – recycle it! I Recycle Phoenix returns to Desert Ridge Marketplace Saturday, April 4, providing an opportunity for the public to clear out items and keep it green.

“’One man’s trash is another man’s treasure’ is certainly a motto of our community partners,” said Tom Waldeck, President and CEO of Keep Phoenix Beautiful. “I Recycle Phoenix is the only stop you need to make sure your items are recycled properly or find a new life at a local nonprofit.”

I Recycle Phoenix begins at 7 a.m. and accepts numerous items for drop off. Many items can also be repurposed for companies and organizations who can use the products for their needs. The public can also shred up to five banker boxes of important documents like old tax returns safely and conveniently for FREE. Other accepted items include hard drives, bikes, cell phones, flat screen televisions, laptops and other electronics, school supplies, nonperishable food and housewares, office supplies, rechargeable batteries. Items not accepted include single-use batteries, CRT televisions and monitors, prescription drugs and hazardous waste like oil, paint and chemicals.

I Recycle Phoenix is possible thanks to many community partners, including Westech Recyclers, City of Phoenix Public Works, Resinate Plastics, Bike Saviors, ICM Food & Clothing Bank, Treasures For Teachers, Batteries Plus Bulbs, Security Data Destruction.
