Southwest Behavioral & Health Services Appoints J. Blount Swain to Board of Directors

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H) today announced that J. Blount Swain, a finance and operations executive with more than 20 years of medical industry experience, has been appointed to the board of directors.

Currently an advisor for Columbia West Capital, Swain was president and CEO of Proteor USA (formerly Ability Dynamics), a medical device prosthetics company, where he secured $11 million in private investment to revolutionize prosthetic foot performance. Building off of his tenure as a senior accountant with Price Waterhouse, Swain served as chief financial officer for Closure Medical Corporation, Symbius Medical, YOUcentric, Inc. and The Record Bar.

“J. Blount is an accomplished leader with a wealth of finance, strategy and management experience,” said Southwest Behavioral & Health Services CEO Steven Sheets. “He has the right qualities and industry experience to be a real asset to our team. We are happy to have him on board.”

Swain earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and is a certified public accountant.
