Pita Jungle, a local staple for modern Mediterranean cuisine, officially opened its 24th location on Monday. The 3,200 square foot restaurant is located at the new Steelyard development off Chandler Heights and Gilbert Roads in Chandler. This is Pita Jungle's second Chandler location.
The new restaurant features a large main dining area with an inviting full bar with indoor and outdoor seating, and a beautiful outdoor patio. It also features a special takeout window for on-the-go orders. It is open for lunch, happy hour and dinner seven days a week, serving the same delicious and healthy Mediterranean dishes that Pita Jungle has been known for 26 years.
Pita Jungle is one of many tenants at the retail center named after the former steel yard. The development is located at the southeast corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights roads and includes three multi-tenant buildings on a 4.6-acre site. It incorporates aspects of the steel yard into its design, including corrugated steel and an existing water tower.
The new Pita Jungle is inspired from the steelyard theme around an iconic water tower. The design draws from notions of water flow and colors accentuated by industrial lines and modulated by cozy ambient and minimalist ‘artsy-ness’ that stems from eco-rich materials and colors, according to Co-Founder Bassel Osmani.
Pita Jungle hired approximately 50 part-time and full-time employees, from chefs to servers and everything in between, for the new Chandler restaurant.
With this addition, there are now 21 Pita Jungle’s in the Phoenix Metro area, two in Tucson, and one in Flagstaff.
