Phoenix Children’s is excited to kick off its largest fundraising event of 2021, the Year-End Campaign, from November 1 to December 31. The theme this year is Heroes for Hope, drawing inspiration from patients, their families, donors, and the care teams at Phoenix Children’s, who are all heroes in their own right.

“This year we have seen such an incredible response from the local community,” said Steve Schnall, senior vice president of Phoenix Children’s Foundation. “The last two months of the year is all about giving and we have cemented great partnerships to make sure that every dollar donated goes that extra mile. We truly cannot help these kids without support. It takes a village to lift up the tiniest heroes in our community, and the Year-End Campaign is proof that people can come together to do some incredible fundraising.”

One of the simplest ways to give to the Year-End Campaign is with the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. Donations make a lifesaving impact on patients. Phoenix Children’s is a 501(c)(3) organization that qualifies for the tax credit. When people make their gift to Phoenix Children’s, they will receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on their Arizona state return – up to $400 for individuals and $800 for those filing jointly.

Ignite Hope is another opportunity for people to show their support and raise funds during the Year-End Campaign. The 10th annual candlelit walk and celebration will take place on Saturday, December 11, at North High School. People can still register for the event, and they have the choice to participate in person or at home. All proceeds go to the Year-End Campaign, which benefits the Hope Fund.

The Hope Fund provides a critical source of funding for the areas of greatest need at Phoenix Children’s. Resources from the Hope Fund help Phoenix Children’s respond to advances in pediatric health care that directly benefit patients, including state-of-the-art technology and equipment, innovative clinical programs, and family-centered care.
