notMYkid Opens New Well-being Campus in Scottsdale
By Lindsay Hansen - Monday Nov 29, 2021
notMYkid is excited to announce the grand opening of The Well, a 13,000 square foot well-being campus in Scottsdale where youth and families can go for ongoing education, counseling, mentoring programs, and more.

The Well helps meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of individuals ages 10-24. Trauma-informed, certified providers who are passionate about helping individuals staff the campus with an array of programs for teens, young adults, and caregivers. The campus is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and evenings by appointment. Parents can learn more by calling (602) 652-0163 or by visiting http://www.notMYkid.org.

“Our journey to opening The Well over the past six months has given us an incredible opportunity to completely transform how we serve and urgently respond to the second pandemic upon us, a mental health emergency,” said notMYkid Chief Executive Officer, Kristen Polin. “notMYkid has worked tirelessly to pivot how we support families, schools, and communities by implementing a comprehensive mental health response. We have opened a licensed outpatient treatment center, developed critically needed peer support services, offer social emotional learning in partnership with schools, virtual webinars for caregivers, and we created a family navigation protocol to help families access the care they need.”

The notMYkid team invites families and community members to attend an open house and tour of The Well to learn more about the existing and upcoming programs provided by notMYkid. The first event takes place Nov. 18 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and the second event takes place in the evening of Dec. 2 from 5: 30-8 p.m. at 5310 E. Shea Blvd.

In addition to providing trauma-informed outpatient therapy, the well-being campus offers a full spectrum of healing modalities, including educational workshops and retreats, mindfulness and meditation, movement and yoga, sound healing, art expression, and social emotional learning.

“This is heart work for our team,” Polin shared. “We are proud of what we have built, and we are excited to share The Well with our community for many years to come.”
