Muscular Moving Men & Storage Sees Massive Growth in 2021
By Claire Natale - Thursday Oct 14, 2021
Muscular Moving Men & Storage and its commercial moving division, M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics, persevered throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with exceptional growth statistics. In October of last year, these combined businesses grew 33% from 2019. Now, these local movers are tracking 40% growth over all business lines from 2020 to 2021.

“I am incredibly proud of our staff for maintaining a positive, driven attitude throughout these difficult times,” said Justin Hodge, president of Muscular Moving Men & Storage. “Thanks to everyone on our teams, we have not only been able to help the business thrive, but also help members of our community get the resources they need.”

M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics’ junk removal division, M3 Junk Removal, has kept more than 300,000 pounds of furniture out of landfills and back into the community with donation partners such as UMOM, Project C.U.R.E., New Life Center, Hope’s Closet, Furnishing Dignity, Goodwill, and St. Vincent de Paul. It is projected to complete 300% more out of state projects than in 2020 and to have a 35% year over year growth. One noteworthy project from 2021 was the relocation with Vitalant labs where $4 million in lab equipment was moved with zero claims.

“Our commercial division, which was launched in 2019, has had phenomenal growth and success,” said Jim Stevens, vice president of M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics. “This is just the beginning. We are ready and excited to continue to expand our reach and help companies safely and securely transition to new homes.”

This year, Muscular Moving Men & Storage went from #28 to #16 in the Sun Devil 100 as one of the fastest growing ASU alumni-owned businesses in 2021. With increased demand for moving comes an additional need for labor. Muscular Moving Men has increased its office staff from 26 to 35 employees. However, the need for excellent mover-athletes and drivers is high. The company provides excellent benefits with industry leading pay, free access to in-building gym facility, a 401k match plan, health care and advancement opportunities. Employees will receive a $1,000 bonus pay after three months of employment. To learn more about open positions and to apply, visit or call HR Manager Olga Barela at 602-923-6400 ext. 5.

Muscular Moving Men & Storage was founded in 2008 when best friends and founders Justin Hodge and Josh Jurhill began moving customers with just one truck and trailer. With a focus on the core values of quality, financial efficiency, respect, advancement, culture and customer experience, Muscular Moving has become the top name in moving in the Valley.
