Local nonprofit Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue (DLRR) announced it will host its 15th annual Corks and Collars fundraiser on Saturday, November 4th at Hunkapi Farms in Scottsdale. Every dollar raised will be used for the medical expenses of the hundreds of Labs that the organization rescue, rehabilitate and rehome every year.
“We are extremely proud to be hosting our supporters at Corks and Collars for the 15th year in a row,” says Dan Grimm, Board President of DLRR. “We believe that it is one of the premier animal rescue events in the Valley and it is critically important in its impact on our ability to save so many Labs each year.”
At Corks and Collars, guests can experience an evening of food, drinks and live music surrounded by Hunkapi Farms’ idyllic ten-acre farmland and picturesque gardens nestled in the heart of North Scottsdale. In addition, the lively fundraiser will feature a silent auction, raffles, grab bags, arts and crafts, among other activities.
Since 1999, DLRR’s efforts have saved more than 6,000 displaced Labs throughout Arizona. The nonprofit’s rescue work relies solely on fundraising, donations, and volunteer work. Sponsorships and donations for the annual Corks and Collars event is an important key to the organization’s success.
