PHOENIX (June 12, 2023) – Lerner & Rowe Gives Back, the nonprofit arm of Lerner & Rowe Injury Attorneys, marked its 10th anniversary in January with a new grant program. In May, the nonprofit awarded 18 local organizations in the public safety, health and human services, youth and animal welfare spaces with funding from $5,000 to $50,000.

Recipients awarded during the 2023 season include Valleywise Health Foundation, Ryan House, Put on the Cape: A Foundation for Hope, Hunkapi Programs, Kitchen on the Street, Junior Achievement Arizona, Ability 360, Mom’s Pantry Phoenix, Homeward Bound, Child Crisis, Valley Humane Society, Be Kind People Project, Baller Dream Foundation, 180 Sports AZ, Gabriel’s Angels, Chrysalis Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence, Ben’s Bells and Phoenix Rescue Mission.

“As an organization that works largely with Arizona locals, we wanted to make it easier for local nonprofits to apply for grants with us and receive funding,” said Kevin Rowe, founder of Lerner & Rowe Injury Attorneys and Lerner & Rowe Gives Back. “With the launch of our improved grant program, we were able to award local organizations that are near and dear to us and give them the opportunity to support the community even further. We look forward to helping even more of these organizations in years to come.”

“Thanks to Lerner & Rowe Gives Back, a small nonprofit like ours can make such an impact,” said Tamara Clark, community outreach director at 180 Sports. “With this grant, we can award one school the opportunity to get the new equipment or new uniforms they so desperately need. We truly want to positively impact the culture of youth sports and we know it starts with the right equipment and uniforms.”

In 2010, Kevin Rowe created the Rowe Family Foundation to help teach his oldest daughter the values of humility and helping others in need. With the desire to do more in Arizona, Rowe formed Lerner & Rowe Gives Back in 2012 and has been giving back to the communities in which they practice ever since, including Phoenix, Tucson, Bullhead City, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Chicago, Merrillville and Nashville.

The 2024 grant cycle will open to applicants in January and will allow Arizona 501(c)3s to apply via the form on the Lerner & Rowe Gives Back website.
