Kasai Japanese Steakhouse Opens in Scottsdale
By Liz Renninger - Monday Jun 29, 2020
Kasai Japanese Steakhouse in Scottsdale is excited to announce it is reopening on Wednesday, July 1, at 4 p.m. with a streamlined summer menu and additional teppanyaki seating to provide guests with an unparalleled experience.

Kasai added four additional teppanyaki tables, totaling 14, and increased its teppanyaki seating to a total of 146. Originally, teppanyaki tables were only located at the back and sides of the restaurant. Now with the addition of the four hoodless tables, teppanyaki becomes the focal point of the dining room. The fire and fun can now be seen from every seat in the restaurant.

“We are thrilled to be able to give more of what everyone loves with the expansion of our highly successful teppanyaki program,” said owner, Mike Russello. “Our guests want that high-energy dining experience that they look forward to when they come to Kasai.”

In addition to the expanded teppanyaki seating, Kasai has refreshed its interior décor which offers a more open and inviting floorplan.

The menu has been simplified and offers great dishes such as the new Kasai Filet Carpaccio, thinly sliced mid-western grass-fed angus beef, seasoned, seared, and served with sesame oyster glaze, fresh ginger, scallions, and cilantro ($18). Also on the menu, another favorite item, Mongolian Lamb Chops, Australian lamb marinated in a Mongolian barbeque sauce, char-grilled and served over Asian slaw and coconut curry beurre blanc ($22). The heart of the menu is teppanyaki, with more than 50 dinners and combinations offered. Each teppanyaki experience is served with seven courses, and lots of fire and flare from the charismatic Kasai teppan chefs.

Kasai Japanese Steakhouse is located at 14344 N. Scottsdale Rd. in Scottsdale. Kasai is taking reservations by phone only and will be open for dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Happy hour will be offered daily from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Teppan Happy Hour will be daily from 4 to 5 p.m. Enjoy select items at discounted prices with all the fire, all the flavor, and all the excitement.
