As director of philanthropy, Cruz will work directly with the community, supporters, and partners to further the ongoing support efforts and resources needed for Sojourner Centera subsidiary of Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) to continue its mission of overcoming the impact of domestic violence. "Her broad experience in creating deep and lasting relationships has served her well and will help our organization expand creative fundraising opportunities as well as grow our relationships with longstanding supporters."
Cruz's development experience includes leadership positions at the Association for Supportive Child Care, Boys Hope Girls Hope Arizona, and Christian Family Care. Her tenure consists of developing and successfully executing fundraising strategies that helped secure millions of dollars in donations with appeals, grants, events, and crowdfunding.

“We’re excited to have Jacqueline join the team at Sojourner Center to continue the progress the development team has made over the past year,†said Len Gutman, vice president of philanthropic services for JFCS. “We’ll be closely linked moving forward to work together to advance the mission of Sojourner Center from both a fundraising and marketing perspective.â€
