The Eleventh Annual Initiative Can Help Provide 700,000 Meals for Children

PHOENIX, Ariz. – One in four kids in Arizona face hunger every day. The reality is many families are facing poverty and struggling to feed their kids. To help do their part towards ending childhood hunger, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria partnered with No Kid Hungry for the eleventh year and raised $73,845 which can help provide 700,000 meals for children in need.

“We are thrilled with the results of this year’s campaign – helping so many kids in America is an honor,” said Michael Flaum, COO of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. “We have been fighting to end childhood hunger for over a decade, and we will continue this fight for years to come. No child should ever go to bed not knowing where their next meal will come from, but knowing we made a difference is truly heartwarming.”

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is one of the thousands of restaurants nationwide that supports No Kid Hungry during back-to-school season. They rely on the generous support from local businesses. For several years the campaign has partnered with many Valley restaurants, food banks and school districts. Every $1 donated to No Kid Hungry can help provide 10 meals for hungry children.
