The Greater Phoenix Chamber is holding its next AZ in Focus series event on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The topic is Accelerating America’s Advantage at Sea featuring U.S. Navy’s Rear Admiral Mark Behning.
The presentation will offer a strategic exploration of the U.S. Navy, delving into its missions, equipment, personnel, and global presence. Acknowledging America’s historical maritime roots, hear about the crucial role of the seas in sustaining our economy, national security, and way of life. The collaborative efforts of American sea power, allied dedication, and partnerships uphold freedom of navigation, preserve peace, and foster a rules-based order rooted in fairness.
As emerging global challenges pose threats to U.S. interests, the imperative to maintain maritime dominance becomes paramount. Reflecting on the U.S. Navy's historical role since the Nation's inception, the narrative emphasizes its commitment to protecting economic vitality, influencing global affairs, supporting allies, deterring conflict, and prevailing in combat when necessary.
