Great Hearts Academies is excited to announce Brandon Crowe as the new Great Hearts Arizona Superintendent. Crowe is a familiar face at Great Hearts as he recently served as the Executive Director for Great Hearts Prep Schools, and previously as a Great Hearts headmaster, dean, and member of the faculty. He began working at Great Hearts more than fifteen years ago.

“Mr. Crowe has a deep commitment to our core purpose of cultivating hearts and minds for the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty,” said Jay Heiler, CEO of Great Hearts Academies. “He is experienced in our school operations and will continue to work relentlessly to improve our academics and support our teachers and students in full fidelity to the founding purpose of the organization. His continued presence ensures a stable transition in leadership while also leading Great Hearts Arizona into its next chapter of excellence.”

Crowe has a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Religious Studies from ASU. Crowe also worked on the faculty at ASU at various departments including Barrett, The Honors College, New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and the Sciences and School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies. He has completed all coursework toward a PhD in Religious Studies with emphasis in Religions in the Americas from Arizona State University (ASU) and is writing his dissertation.

Crowe began in his new role on January 1 and worked to transition with outgoing Great Hearts Arizona President Erik Twist, who will continue to support the transition and the advancement of the organization as a consultant to Crowe and the Board.

Earlier this year, Great Hearts announced expansion plans. The network of tuition-free public nonprofit charter schools will open additional locations in Buckeye, Ariz., San Antonio, TX and Ft. Worth, TX. In August of 2022, it will be expanding its Anthem Preparatory campus in Arizona. Great Hearts Academies has no entry or testing requirements to enroll.
