Great Hearts Academies is proud to announce the return of its in person Great Hearts Gala, presented by Casas Bonitas and produced by Broadcast Rentals taking place Saturday, September 24 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at Chateau Luxe in Phoenix. The event will also livestream the performance portions of the gala across YouTube, Facebook and academy websites. The theme for this year’s event is “Emerald Cityâ€, a nod to The Wizard of Oz. This event will support the Teacher Excellence Fund, which provides bonus compensation every December to reward and retain the best Great Hearts teachers across Arizona.
This is the first time the gala has returned since before the pandemic and is the largest fundraiser for the Teacher Excellence Fund, giving Great Hearts Academies the opportunity to reward the Arizona teachers who worked harder than ever this year. Last year over $600,000 was raised for the 2021 Teacher Excellence Fund, which provided 557 Great Hearts Arizona teachers bonus compensation in December 2021.
“We are looking forward to seeing a big crowd of Great Hearts parents at the Gala this year,†said Brandon Crowe, Superintendent of Great Hearts Arizona. “It’s wonderful to have the chance to connect in person again, and especially at an event where the proceeds add to the Teacher Excellence Fund, which was established to thank our teachers for their devotion to, and passion for, serving Great Hearts scholars.â€
This year’s 2022 Co-Chairs are Dustin and Tiffany Christianson. Dustin and Tiffany are Leadership Society members and parents of two children at Great Hearts Archway Scottsdale and Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. The duo are passionately committed to the mission of Great Hearts. Through their leadership and personal sponsorship, Dustin and Tiffany will lead the charge in raising over $500,000 for the 2022 Teacher Excellence Fund to keep the very best teachers in the classrooms.
The Gala is made possible thanks to the following generous sponsors: Casas Bonitas, Liberty Buick GMC, Broadcast Rentals, Great Clips, American Family Insurance, Buck Financial, Baird, Brickhouse Capital, Sapanaro Development, Lindsey Quigley Sapanaro, State Farm, GCON, and Pinnacle Peak Dentistry. Sponsorship packages begin at $7,500 and are available to both families and corporations. To donate, sponsor, or volunteer at the Gala visit http://www.greatheartsgala.org.
