FSL (Foundation for Senior Living), a leading provider of support services for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) diagnoses, is excited to announce its upcoming Christmas Bazaar Market on December 15th 10:30am – 1:30pm, in support of the Assisted Group Living (AGL) program. The event is open to the public and will take place at FSL’s Caregiver House, located at 1201 E. Thomas Rd., in Phoenix.
The Christmas Bazaar Market will showcase the talents and creativity of clients in the AGL program, who will be offering a delightful array of homemade crafts and food items. Visitors can expect to find a variety of holiday treasures, including hot cocoa cups, bath bombs, decorations, and charming crochet items, all crafted with care by individuals undergoing treatment for SMI. More than 25 FSL clients are planning to participate in the Christmas Bazaar Market.
“One of the highlights of the Christmas Bazaar Market is its role in promoting skill development among AGL residents,” said Tami Bohannon, CEO of FSL. “Many of these individuals, who may not have family support, engage in activities with their peers to enhance their life skills. The event offers them a unique opportunity to learn valuable skills such as exchanging money, providing hands-on experience that contributes to their personal development.”
The funds raised from the Christmas Bazaar Market will be used by the residents to purchase Christmas presents for their peers or contribute to the monthly activity fund. This fund allows them to collectively plan and enjoy activities that bring joy and fulfillment to their lives, such as hosting a fancy dinner.
