Free Arts Announces New Program Director Kerri Kaczmarczyk
By Lindsay Hansen - Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerri Kaczmarczyk to the role of Program Director. Her career in nonprofit organizations gives her unique expertise and insights in helping the organization achieve its strategic vision for current and future programs and opens an exciting chapter after previously serving as a Free Arts Mentor.

“As a former volunteer in Free Arts’ weekly mentoring program, I’ve always admired this organization as the gold standard for supporting youth who have experienced significant trauma,” Kaczmarczyk said. “I’m fortunate to now work alongside an incredible network of staff members, volunteer mentors, professional artists, partner agencies, and Board members who are dedicated to utilizing art as a vehicle for youth to not only heal, but also thrive beyond their circumstances.”

Kaczmarczyk has 16 years of experience supporting Arizona’s communities in roles with local nonprofit organizations, including the role of Program Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, Corporate Giving Officer for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, and Program Officer for the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.

Her professional training includes the Arizona State University Lodestar Nonprofit Leadership Academy and training through the Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Consortium to become a certified ACEs trainer.

“Kerri has extensive nonprofit experience, a passion for the work, and strong community relations that will take Free Arts programming to the next level,” said Free Arts Vice President of Programs Danielle Tefft. “As a volunteer mentor herself, Kerri has experienced the impact of how positive adult relationships and active skill building are integral to resilience building in children. We are delighted to have her join Free Arts in the role of Program Director.”

As the Program Director, Kaczmarczyk will provide valuable insights to aid overall organization performance and to achieve the strategic vision for Free Arts programs. She will also put her leadership experience to use in assessing and planning possible expansions and cultivating new partnerships.
