Duet Hosts Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course

With the support of a generous grant from Dignity Health®, Duet is offering the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course Friday, Sept. 30 & Saturday, Oct. 1, Friday, Oct. 7 & Saturday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Oct. 15 from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m., as a virtual course, via Zoom. This educational experience is open to all registered nurses in the United States with active licenses.

Faith community nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promotion of whole person health and the prevention or minimization of illness within the content of a faith community and wide community (groups, families, persons). The course curriculum is developed through the Westburg Institute for Faith Community Nursing, a ministry of Church Healthy Center.

The course content includes:

• Professionalism
• Wholistic
• Community

You must be a registered nurse with an active license and be able to participate via Zoom. The course is taught by experienced faith community nurses as well as various content area experts from the greater Phoenix area. This is an approved accredited course by the Arizona Nurses Associations for 42.5 contact hours.
