DAY OF GIVING AT LOCAL GREAT CLIPS SALONS RAISES CRITICAL FUNDS FOR PHOENIX CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
By Claire Natale - Friday Sep 24, 2021
World-class care at Phoenix Children’s Hospital isn’t just about physical treatment – it focuses on healing the entire child, physically, mentally and emotionally. Local Phoenix-area Great Clips salons are supporting that important work with a Cuts for Kids Day on Saturday, September 25. On that day, $2 from every haircut received at any of the 121 Valley Great Clips salons will be donated to the Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund.

The Hope Fund makes an impact on the delivery of expert, family-centered care for more than 200,000 patients each year. Without the generosity of caring people in the community, Phoenix Children’s wouldn’t be able to offer more than 60 Phoenix Children's programs and services, funded entirely or partially by philanthropy. Art therapy, music therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and the 1 Darn Cool School are examples of these programs that play a critical role in the healing process by bringing normalcy to patients and their families.

The Cuts for Kids Day is supported by three weeks of fundraising at salons. Customers who visit a local salon between September 10 and 30 for a haircut and donate $1 or more will receive a Phoenix Children’s Hospital sticker and their name displayed in the salon.

“We’re proud to once again be raising funds for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital this year, and particularly for the Hope Fund,” said Ken Hand, Great Clips franchisee. “My fellow franchisees, our salon staff and I know that donations like these are crucial to the hospital continuing to provide the level of care they’re known for, and we know our customers will be excited to join in our effort.”

“Partners like Great Clips stand united with our doctors and nurses, providing lifesaving medical care to Arizona’s children” said Steve Schnall, Chief Development Officer, Phoenix Children’s Hospital. “We’re grateful for the support that franchisees, salon staff and customers are already showing again this year for the expert treatment and care we provide.”
