YellowBird, a gig-economy marketplace connecting environmental, health, and safety professionals to businesses on-demand, announces the addition of Derek Hogan as Vice President of Sales. Hogan will oversee all sales and business development efforts aimed at driving revenue generation and ensuring customer satisfaction.

YellowBird Founder and CEO, Michael Zalle, hired Hogan to support the company’s rapid expansion and capitalize on the growing demand to develop safer work environments. In this role, Hogan will lead YellowBird’s sales team in building new relationships with companies in high-risk industries including construction, manufacturing, insurance, mining, and oil & gas, as well as small businesses seeking guidance in risk assessment and ESG protocols.

Hogan brings 12 years of sales and leadership experience, where he developed a winning strategy to understand customers’ individual needs, provide solutions, and build personal relationships. He recently served with Staples Business Advantage, leading a team of sellers across a 10-state region and managing a book of business valued at over $100 million.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and currently lives in North Phoenix.
