Shelter animals impact the lives of their adopters in immeasurable ways, but for Bob Colabianchi, general manager of Chapman BMW on Camelback, the love of his adopted pup has directly impacted the lives of more than 400 homeless animals at Arizona Animal Welfare League.

It all started in 2019 when Colabianchi met a beautiful cattle dog at an AAWL event at Chapman BMW on Camelback. He fostered the dog, now named Beemer, who went everywhere with him – in the dealership and beyond. Eventually Colabianchi “foster failed,” adopting Beemer into his home and inspiring his love of shelter pets everywhere.

In 2020, Chapman BMW on Camelback will continue its tradition of Beemer’s Buddies. For every car sold in November and December, the dealership will cover the adoption fees for a dog or cat at the shelter.

“I encourage those in my community to visit the Arizona Animal Welfare League; see the animals who you can help save, learn their stories of survival and hope, and make a difference in their lives through either adoption, donation, or volunteering,” Colabianchi said. “Your life may change like mine, but the support you give to these animals will definitely change theirs.”
