Celebrate the Spice of Cajun Culture - Angry Crab Shack Southwest Cajun Fest Returns on February 15, 2020
By Claire Natale - Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
CHANDLER, Ariz. – HDE Agency is jazzed up to announce the return of the Angry Crab Shack Southwest Cajun Fest on February 15, 2020. Bringing the sounds, smells, tastes and culture of New Orleans to the Valley, this event has something for everyone.

“This event showcases the heart and soul of New Orleans paired with Arizona fusion and flavor,” said Landon Evans, owner of HDE Agency. “Packed with cultural festivities, food and live entertainment it’s one our more lively events that will make you feel transported to the Big Easy.”

Angry Crab Shack and more than a dozen other local restaurants including Bayou Bistro, Honey Bears BBQ Cajun Cusine, JJ’s Louisiana BBQ and Maya’s Cajun Kitchen will be dishing up pounds of smoldering, juicy crawfish, shrimp, gumbo, po’ boys, fried catfish and more!

“Angry Crab Shack is excited to team up with HDE Agency and bring a Mardi Gras party to the East Valley while benefitting one of our partners in Phoenix Children’s Hospital, ” said Andrew Diamond, president of Angry Crab Franchise. “Laissez les bons temps rouler!”

An authentic New Orleans party needs plenty of libations. This boil will showcase handcrafted Abita beers on draft and in cans including Abita Amber, Purple Haze, Hop On, Purple Haze and Hurricanes.

The musical stage will feature live performances from five bands – Hoodoo Coasters, Bluesman Mike, NolAz Band and Souled Out Jazz Band. Additionally, the watermelon, sausage and crawfish eating contests will provide culinary entertainment. Lawn games, flame throwing, sword swallowing, Mardi Gras photo booth and a kids zone will give guests more interactive experiences.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital as the hospital continues its plans to expand services in the East Valley.

The Angry Crab Shack Southwest Cajun Fest will take place at AJ Chandler Park located at 178 E. Commonwealth Ave in Chandler.
