Stress management is a major challenge in today’s unprecedented environment. To help people cope, Catholic Charities counseling department is forming, low-cost, small, virtual support groups of 10 or fewer to assist individuals in finding healthy ways to manage stress.
“Stress is abundant right now, and it’s something we just can’t get away from. In addition, finances are tight for many, so we’re creating these small, very low-cost groups as an easy, accessible way for people to find help,†said Anna Smith, MC, LPC, LISAC, Catholic Charities Senior Program Manager. “The groups will be conducted via Zoom and run by an experienced member of our counseling team.â€
Catholic Charities’ professional team also provides individual, virtual counseling for emotional, physical, sexual or verbal abuse; adolescent behavior issues; anger management; anxiety; communication issues; depression; divorce; family conflict; grief and loss; HIV/AIDS; parenting; self-esteem; stress management; and substance abuse.
