Ballet Arizona Welcomes New Board Member
By Melody Pierce - Wednesday May 05, 2021
Ballet Arizona is honored to welcome its newest board member, Steven Douglass, to the Ballet Arizona family. Douglass has 19 years of banking experience and currently serves as vice president and private banking relationship manager at the National Bank of Arizona®.

As a board member, Douglass will utilize his corporate and financial experience to help Ballet Arizona advance its mission of preserving and celebrating classical dance, creating and commissioning innovative new works and serving the people of Arizona through education and community engagement programming. The board currently consists of 25 members with four directors, all dedicated to fostering the arts in Arizona.

"I joined Ballet Arizona because I’m fascinated by the extraordinary human performances and drawn to the artistic, graceful and fluid body movements and expressions performed at the ballet,” said Douglass. “I am excited to work with an organization dedicated to expanding the arts here in the Valley.”

Douglass is an active member of the Emerging Business Group of Phoenix and a past
member of the Arizona Town Hall Leadership Forum and Ahwatukee Chamber of
Commerce. He has a passion for aiding nonprofit organizations across Arizona.

“We are exceedingly grateful for the board members who go above and beyond to extend their skillsets to Ballet Arizona,” said Samantha Turner, Ballet Arizona executive director. “Steven is a valuable addition to our board and we are excited to see the future goals he accomplishes.”

Douglass earned his Bachelor of Science in Advertising from NAU, and later earned
his Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Additionally,
he holds series seven and 66 security licenses through LPL Financial along with
being licensed as a mortgage loan officer.
