The Arizona Jewish Historical Society (AZJHS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Frank Jacobson as the Management Consultant and Capital Campaign Director for the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center.
Charles Gealer, President of the Board of AZJHS, expressed enthusiasm about Frank joining at this pivotal moment during its $30 million Capital Campaign.
"Frank brings a wealth of experience to us, and we are excited that he joins us at this juncture of our capital campaign," said Gealer.
With over 40 years of experience in management, fundraising, communications and strategic planning, Frank Jacobson has a proven track record. His notable achievements include the successful creation of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, raising $9.6 million.
Frank's expertise extends to philanthropy, demonstrated during his tenure at Jewish Family & Children’s Service, where he revitalized the marketing and development department, resulting in a substantial increase in annual fundraising and the opening of the Michael R. Zent Healthcare Center.
Most recently, Frank led a successful $19.2 million fundraising effort to establish Scottsdale Community Bank, Arizona's first state-chartered, FDIC-approved bank in 14 years.
Frank highlighted the importance of engaging the community in Holocaust education, stating, "With the recent rise of antisemitism, the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center is needed now more than ever."
Last November the Arizona Jewish Historical Society announced the launch of a $30 million dollar Capital Campaign to create the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center in the heart of downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The Center will consist of a 27,000 square foot new building on the Cutler?Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center campus. This new facility will include a permanent state-of -the-art high tech gallery dedicated to Holocaust Education as well as areas dedicated to changing exhibits on other genocides and closely related topics, plus a new dramatic Jewish Life Gallery in the Center’s expansion plans. The goal of this experience will be to inspire visitors to learn from the Holocaust, to become upstanders, and to work toward a world without hatred and bigotry and appreciate Judaism’s contribution to Arizona and American life.
AZJHS looks forward to the collaboration between Frank Jacobson, Steve Hilton, all the generous donors, foundations, corporations, and the City of Phoenix who are supporting this community wide project, and the dedicated employees, working committees, and volunteers who have helped bring us more than halfway toward our goal.
