AZA United Hosts 5K to Raise Autism Awareness in Arizona

Lace-up your shoes and join Arizona Autism United for the first annual Run for Autism. This 5k event brings the community together to bring awareness and acceptance of autism and other developmental disabilities. Participants will receive a Dri-Fit custom event shirt, goody bag, and a pre-and post-event “Runner’s Brunch.” Race officials will present awards to the top three performers in each age group.

Who: Walkers and runners of all ages, near and far

When: Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 8 a.m.

Where: Freestone Park
1045 E. Juniper Ave.
Gilbert, AZ

The CDC reports that in 2018, 1 in 40 8-year-old children in Arizona received in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. AZA United is teaming up with families and allies to raise funds to bring vital personalized support, therapy and social groups to children, young adults and families with an ASD diagnosis.
