Arizona Oncology Welcomes Radiation Oncologist Sarah Kilic, MD to Tucson – Craycroft Location
By Molly Hammond - Monday Oct 09, 2023
TUCSON, ARIZ. (October 9, 2023) – Arizona Oncology, a premier provider of advanced cancer care across Arizona, is proud to welcome Sarah Kilic, MD to its radiation oncology team. Dr. Kilic will see patients at Arizona Oncology’s Craycroft location, joining a compassionate team of experts providing leading-edge cancer care.

Dr. Kilic attended Wesleyan University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in molecular biology and biochemistry. Though she planned to pursue a career as a molecular biologist, she found she missed the opportunity for human connection. After discovering the field of clinical radiation oncology during a research rotation, she saw an opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on lives and changed her course of study. Dr. Kilic went on to receive her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School before completing an internship in internal medicine and a residency in radiation oncology at the Cleveland Clinic.

A passionate advocate for scientific research and advancements in radiation oncology, Dr. Kilic has authored over 30 publications in various medical journals, including JCO Oncology Practice and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics. She has also published several book chapters and presented her research at multiple oncology conferences, including the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meetings.

“Dr. Kilic is an incredibly skilled physician who approaches each patient with meticulous attention, empathy, and respect,” said Robert Gin, MD. “Her commitment to knowing her patients as people, not just their diagnoses, strongly aligns with Arizona Oncology’s mission to provide personalized cancer care.”

As a general radiation oncologist, Dr. Kilic is experienced in treating cancer in every part of the body. She has a particular interest in treating brain, breast, and gynecologic tumors. Dr. Kilic specializes in advanced image-guided external beam radiation therapy techniques, including stereotactic body radiation therapy/stereotactic radiosurgery and intensity-modulated radiation therapy, as well as high-dose-rate gynecologic brachytherapy.

“Every patient is unique, so every patient needs a unique approach to treatment that fits their needs,” said Dr. Kilic. “I’m proud to join the team at Arizona Oncology in providing individualized care close to home for our patients.”

The Craycroft office is located at 2625 N. Craycroft Rd., #100, Tucson, AZ, 85712. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Kilic, call 520-324-4214, or visit ArizonaOncology.com.
