Arizona Association of REALTORS® Honors 2022 Award Recipients at Annual Leadership Conference; Supports Hurricane Ian Relief Efforts with $50,000 Donation
By Justin Liggin - Wednesday Nov 09, 2022
The Arizona REALTORS® recently held its annual Leadership Conference in Tucson to recognize members of the Association for their outstanding leadership, professional achievements and contributions to the community. The Association also voiced its support for Hurricane Ian response efforts by donating $50,000 to help rebuild and provide flood relief in Florida.

Evan Fuchs of Bullhead Laughlin Realty in Bullhead City received the Tyler Strout Vision Award from 2022 President Gary Nelson. This award recognizes a real estate practitioner who elevates the profile of REALTORS® in the community and exemplifies the Association’s vision of the best prepared real estate practitioner with the highest standards.

Since moving to Arizona in 1996 to pursue a career in real estate, Fuchs has served as the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Professional Development Committee Chair in 2018 as well as on the Board of Directors from 2009-2015 and in 2018. Fuchs has also previously served as the Arizona REALTORS® President in 2014 in addition to chairing multiple committees in the Association such as the Risk Management Committee, Communications and Technology Committee and Professional & Business Development Committee Chair. Fuchs previously received the Arizona REALTOR® of the Year Award in 2014 and the Arizona REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award in 2017.

The Arizona REALTORS® presented its Arthur G. Crozier Distinguished Service Award to Jerome King of Long Realty Referral Associates in Tucson. This award recognizes the Arizona REALTOR® who has given tireless and meaningful service to the Association and had a positive impact on members by providing service in one or more of the Association’s strategic focus areas.

King has served on the Arizona REALTORS® Risk Management Committee for ten years, as well as on numerous real estate forms workgroups and the Board of Directors for several years. King also currently serves as the NAR Federal Political Coordinator for Representative Raul Grijalva. King has previously received the Outstanding Service Award from the Tucson Association of REALTORS® in 2013 for his industry service and has continued to help educate other REALTORS® throughout Tucson, southeast Arizona, Sierra Vista, Green Valley and Sahuarita.

Every year, the Arizona REALTORS® leadership recognizes a REALTOR® and a REALTOR® Association or Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for making an extraordinary impact on their community through volunteer service. This year’s recipients of the Community Outreach Award are Travis Joralmon of Realty One Group, Mountain Desert in Flagstaff and the West and Southeast Valley of the REALTORS (WeSERV).

Joralmon received the Community Outreach Award for his volunteer work with Special Olympics Arizona for more than twenty years. Serving as a coach, Unified Partner, Area Development Committee member and local booster, Joralmon has impacted the lives of young men and women who have disabilities. Through Joralmon’s fundraising efforts and work to partner with local businesses, Special Olympics was able to secure a new venue for the organization’s annual Bare Aspen Wine and Beer Tasting event at the Peaks Senior Living Community in Flagstaff, an event that raised more than $30,000.

WeSERV received the Community Outreach Award for a Local Association for its secure lockbox program. Created in collaboration with Sierra Vista Fire and Medical Services, the program provides free lockboxes primarily for older residents who may live alone or have a physical or medical condition who at some point may need to call 911. The at-home safety program was designed to allow emergency services personnel such as law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel to access a home in emergency situations where forced entry may be necessary. This award was accepted on behalf of WeSERV by Gary Fenton and Christine Bayer.

As a supporter of disaster relief for its members and the public at large, the Arizona REALTORS® also shared during the conference that the Association has donated $50,000 to the Florida REALTORS® Disaster Relief Fund to provide flood relief in Florida following the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian earlier this year.
