Apache Junction Unified Schools (AJUSD) is excited to announce the Kindergarten Roundup scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. This event will take place at all three elementary schools within the district. If your child will be 5 years old by August 31, 2024, they qualify for the 2024-2025 school year. Join us in the multi-purpose room/gym at your child’s enrolling school to meet the kindergarten teachers.

Event Locations:

• Desert Vista Elementary – 3701 E. Broadway Ave. in Apache Junction

• Four Peaks Elementary – 1785 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction

• Peralta Trail Elementary – 10965 E. Peralta Road in Apache Junction

Online registration is available on-site. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency. New AJUSD parents need to create a ParentVue ID in advance.

Additionally, AJUSD is thrilled to introduce a new Dual Language & Spanish Immersion Program at Four Peaks Elementary, the designated school for the district. A parent information meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 4:30 to 5 p.m. (English session) and 6 to 6:30 p.m. (Spanish session). The program starts in kindergarten, with plans to add a grade level each year at Four Peaks Elementary.

Dr. Robert Pappalardo, Superintendent, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “We’re very excited to launch the dual language and Spanish Immersion program. If the program gains popularity with families in the district, our intention is to expand its reach to additional schools. We remain committed to meeting the needs of our students and parents.”
