Andrea Arkow Joins Jewish Family & Children’s Service as Director of Philanthropy & Donor Engagement

Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS), today announced that Andrea Arkow is the new Director of Philanthropy & Donor Engagement.

As part of the Philanthropic Services team, Arkow will be responsible for generating annual, major and planned gifts to support Jewish Family & Children's Service mission and vision. Additionally, she will manage the JFCS Professional Leadership Group, an eight-month program that provides an annual cohort of leaders and emerging leaders the opportunity to make a difference in the community by becoming JFCS ambassadors and philanthropists.

According to JFCS’ Vice President of Philanthropic Services Gail Baer, “Andrea brings a unique combination of strategy and experience to the position. Her ability to cultivate and nurture long-lasting relationships is an essential skill for stewarding sustainable community support. Andrea will be a strong asset to the team.”

Most recently, Arkow was an individual donor manager for Invest in Kids where she was responsible for building and overseeing a major gifts program which included implementing and tracking individual cultivation plans. Prior philanthropic experience includes positions with Colorado “I Have a Dream” Foundation, United Nations Entity for Gender Quality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), and The HALO Foundation.

Arkow received her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Ithaca College and a Master of Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University.
