Ability360’s 6th Annual Cactus Classic Standup Amputee Basketball Tournament

Join Ability360 for a one-of-a-kind weekend encouraging athletes with both upper and lower extremity amputations.

This event is open to athletes registered for the tournament as well as spectators, family and friends, Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center members, community partners and aspiring athletes. There will also be a youth camp on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon for children ages 5-16.

When: Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14, 2023, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Where: Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center, 5031 E. Washington St., Phoenix

Presented by Swift Charities, the 2023 Cactus Classic Basketball Tournament is bringing together athletes who use prosthetics from across the country for a two-day event designed to foster a sense of connection and community while inspiring others to work toward their goals.

Saturday’s events feature 3-on-3 games in competitive and recreation divisions ranked in either a round robin or bracket format.

Sunday’s tournament moves to a 5-on-5 format with team captains snake drafting players before a Final 4 showdown to determine the All-Tournament Team.

Youth will be able to compete in the tournament following their camp. NubAbility Athletics and all coaches will be Amp1 basketball players.
