Ability360 Raises Over $125,000 at Annual Golf Tournament
By Lindsay Hansen - Friday Feb 09, 2024
Ability360 raised more than $125,000 at their annual golf tournament on Friday, Jan. 19 at TPC Scottsdale. Golfers had the rare opportunity to play TPC Scottsdale before the pros next week and help raise funds to support youth adaptive sports and the JAAM youth equipment scholarship.

“The golf tournament is always a fun event and a great way to bring the community together,” said Ability360 CEO Christopher Rodriguez. “The funds raised will enable us to reach even more youth with disabilities by increasing access to programs and equipment so they can participate and benefit from adaptive sports on so many levels.”

The day included 18 holes of golf, lunch and an awards reception and program featuring several Ability360 and JAAM equipment scholarship athlete Molly.

After a cancer diagnosis in 2021, Molly was left unable to play soccer. She found herself at a loss. She didn’t know how she could ever be active again and missed so much being part of a team. Molly soon found wheelchair basketball and fell in love. Although basketball was new, the feeling of being on a team and her competitive nature soon kicked in. At the end of her first season in basketball Molly was fitted for a JAAM chair through their grant program. She’s got many more seasons to play and can’t wait to see where her new chair will take her.

The presenting sponsor for the event was Nothing But NET and the post event reception sponsor was Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.
