7th Italian Festival Set for February in Downtown Phoenix
By Lindsay Hansen - Friday Jan 14, 2022
The Italian Association of Arizona, a local 501c (3) non-profit, is excited to announce its 7th Italian Festivalâ„¢ celebrating all things Italian. This two-day event will entertain and delight guests with live music, delicious Italian food and wine, entertainment, authentic Italian art and more. The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday February 26 and 27, 2022 at Heritage Square, located at N. 7th Street in Phoenix.

“We are very excited to bring back the Festival and unite the Italian community,” said Francesco Guzzo, Executive Director, Italian Association of Arizona. “Our goal is to share Italian arts, culture and traditions with the community. The Italian marketplace is a new concept that will bridge the gap between Italy and Arizona. It allows Arizonans to taste and experience products directly imported from Italy.”

This year’s event will begin Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. with a parade and opening ceremonies and feature live entertainment and some of the best Italian food the Valley has to offer – gelato, pizza, sausages, pasta, cannoli, wine and other delicacies. Live performances will include Sbandieratori del Palio di Asti (flag-wavers) from the city of Asti in Piemonte, and an art gallery with local and international Italian art. A concourse d’elegance will feature restored collector Italian automobiles and Italian motorcycles. Italian bicycle manufacturers will feature their latest hand-crafted road bikes. A concert will take place Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and guests can dance in the streets.

The event is sponsored by Galbani, Peroni, PepsiCo, Acqua Panna, San Pellegrino, CHELLY, DTPHX, Desert Rose Worldwide Transportation and Great Value Vacations.

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased online until January 31st for $8 members and $10 non-members and then $15 from Feb. 1-27 and children under 12 are free. Those interested in becoming a vendor, or sponsoring the Italian Festival can apply at, https://www.italianfestivalaz.com/.
