A thrilling film that beacons a strong and compelling female performance that comes courtesy of English-born-and-bred Gemma Arterton who shines in new film “The King’s Man” that debuts February 12.
Technically, “The King’s Man” is a prequel to 2014’s “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” a wildly popular comic book-turned film that obtained a cult-like status and is spreading its wings into the trilogy territory. The actress had starred in several action blockbuster films in the past, including “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” “Clash of the Titans,” and “Quantum of Solace.” She slowed things down a bit to appear in some indie films and arthouse darlings before jumping back into her latest action film.
