Less than a decade ago, British-born singer and actress Cynthia Erivo was smoldering on the British stage and TV, before simply igniting the silver screen as a breakout movie star in 2019’s “Harriet.” Erivo is now well on her way to becoming an EGOT-designated entertainer after having won Emmy, Grammy, and Tony awards. The Oscar-nominated actress will certainly secure that Oscar, and rightfully so. Her vocal talents are matched by her acting prowess, her bankable star power, and her refreshingly approachable personality.

Erivo’s new film “Chaos Walking” hits theaters later this month and co-stars Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, Mads Mikkelsen, and David Oyelowo. The compelling film delves into a dystopian world devoid of women, and one where all creatures can hear each other’s thoughts in a conscious stream called “Noise.” Erivo told Red Carpet News TV, “It’s a unique way of looking at the way in which we communicate with each other, and the way we see each other… The separation of sexes, as well. There’s a lot to be learned, I think, from this film and I hope that people enjoy it when they see it.”
