As an actress, when Angelina Jolie first got on the public’s radar, she was known for taking roles portraying edgy and risk-taking characters. It was one of those roles where she portrayed Lisa in “Girl, Interrupted” that saw Jolie win both a Screen Actors Guild Award an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Since that time, she has matured in her roles, taking on more regal and mainstream characters while also expanding into directorial duties. Her latest film, “Eternals” follows the story of a race of early immortals that shaped the Earth’s history and civilizations and is directly connected to the events following “Avengers: Endgame.” Surely, Jolie’s character of Thena, the connection to the “Avengers” series and an inclusion in the Marvel Universe will guarantee success of this film and divert some of the attention away from Jolie’s personal life.
