Pup-a-Palooza Spring Festival at Chaparral Park
Apr
20
All dog owners are cordially invited to bring their puppies and dogs with them to Chaparral Park in Scottsdale on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an exciting and fun-filled Pup-a-Palooza Spring Festival. This will be a special dress-up event for dogs and puppies. Dog owners are encouraged to dress their pups in adorable spring costumes and fashions - floral dog dresses, spring polo shirts, and lightweight spring sweaters. Feel free to wear coordinating spring outfits with the dogs! There will be a big "pup parade" and costume contest starting at 11 a.m. Dogs and their owners will walk together in the parade. Join in the parade and costume contest to win great prizes. Dogs must remain on a leash for the entire event.

There will also be delicious food and drink vendors, great shopping with local vendors, FREE pet photo booth, FREE children's and pet activities, live music with a DJ, amazing raffle prizes, and more. Early bird tickets are $10 per person, four tickets are $30. Tickets at the door are $15 per person. The entire event is FREE for children 12 and under. Every ticket purchase receives a complimentary swag bag and one raffle ticket.

All proceeds from the event will go to benefit Oakley's Oath - a local nonprofit started by Julie Kessler of Scottsdale after the Kessler family lost one of their beloved dogs, Oakley, to a tragic drowning at their home. The tragedy occurred when repair work was being done on their roof and the roofing contractor placed a lightweight, clear plastic tarp over the pool. When Oakley went into the backyard, he accidentally fell through the plastic tarp and drowned.

"Our mission now with Oakley's Oath is to educate and inform homeowners and home contractors all across the U.S. about the crucial importance of keeping pets and children safe whenever home repairs or building work is being done on the home," says Julie Kessler. "Oakley's Oath is named after the oath that we ask contractors to make to remind themselves and their clients about safety whenever they work on a home."

Chaparral Park is located at 5401 Hayden Road, Scottsdale. To purchase tickets in advance for the Pup-a-Palooza Spring Festival and for more information about Oakley's Oath, visit oakleysoath.com
