A brand-new performing arts organization, Mesa Jazz and Blues Theater, is kicking off its 2022-23 season with a star-studded show. The evening’s line-up will include an impressive showing of local talent. The Rhythm Edition Band will kick off the evening, performing some of their comedy tribute skits, followed by the Beth Lederman Trio. Closing the first act, Motown Queen Sandra Bassett will be accompanied by the Beth Lederman Trio.

The second act will continue with Dennis Rowland, a famous jazz singer who was formerly with the Count Basie Orchestra. He will also be accompanied by the Beth Lederman Trio. Next, JC and the Juke Rockers will take the stage. The final performer will be legendary blues singer Big Pete Pearson and his band. The entire line-up will join the stage for a happy birthday finale, celebrating those with birthdays, including Big Pete Pearson and founder, Bill Travis.

The non-profit organization was created for the education and preservation of America’s music: Jazz, Blues and R&B.
