Now in its 22nd year, Give-A-Thon is the country’s largest radiothon for a children’s hospital. Last year’s event raised $1.8 million for Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund, a critical source of funding for the areas of greatest need. It costs nearly $2.7 million per day to operate Phoenix Children’s. Patients are accepted regardless of their ability to pay, and about 50% of patient families have little or no private medical insurance. Without the help of generous donors and partners, the hospital could not provide the lifesaving care Phoenix Children’s is renowned for. The Give-A-Thon fundraising goal this year is $2 million.
